Engineer

POSITION: ENGINEER
SALARY RANGE: $70,626 to $94,646 per year DOQ + excellent benefits
DUTIES:
Performs entry to mid-level civil engineering work and related functions within the District; managing capital improvement projects and Developer Extension projects; and coordinating District’s engineering projects with state and local agencies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Experience in utility maintenance or water and sewer industry preferred. Valid Washington State Drivers License and proof of automobile insurance. Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. State of Washington Engineer in Training (EIT), or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Water Distribution Manager I within 1 year of hire.
HIRING PROCESS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with occasional field visits to construction sites where the employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, loud noises and hazards from automobile traffic, heavy equipment, and construction sites. Occasional lifting in excess of 50 pounds.
