Overview
Are you an experienced professional, passionate about influencing talented people and developing emotionally connected leaders and dynamic teams? If so, we have a position for you! We're hiring for a Director of Inclusion at Southern Star.
The Director of Inclusion will facilitate a unified culture of inclusion across the company. The Director of Inclusion will report to the Vice President, Human Resources. The position is responsible for executing inclusion and diversity (I&D) initiatives that drive Southern Star's enterprise-wide Inclusion and Diversity vision, strategy, values, and goals. The Director will ensure that efforts are prioritized to directly support the company's business goals and performance. The Director will execute initiatives that will reinforce the established I&D foundation along with initiatives that will make I&D actionable and concrete for all levels of the organization.
As a subject matter expert, the Director will serve as an advisor and thought leader, driving strategy, and partnering with leadership to set and advance goals to recruit, support and retain a diverse team and to create an inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Partner with organizational leadership, Human Resources and Organizational Development to execute I&D in areas such as talent acquisition, learning & development, engagement, and retention
- Identify policies and practices that need to be revised or adopted to promote equity and inclusion
- Align with leaders across the business to embed I&D best practices that support inclusive work environments
- Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to leaders and stakeholders within Southern Star when I&D consultation and expertise is needed
- Create a resource guide and data base of inclusive practices, tools, resources and current readings for leaders to build their I&D competence
- Identify and build external partnerships that drive engagement and inclusion in the larger communities
- Lead company inclusion initiatives to position Southern Star as a great place for all to work
- Develop and execute a measurement strategy to quantify I&D efforts and outcomes
- Lead and execute change management efforts that increase I&D awareness
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, or related field
- Experience in HR, Talent Management, Organizational Development / Effectiveness or related field
- Experience leading enterprise-wide change initiatives
Preferred
- Experience executing an enterprise wide I&D strategy
- Expertise in the rigors of I&D metrics, assessment, and measurement

- Ensure I&D efforts are aligned with enterprise I&D strategy and business needs
