Snohomish County PUD, located in Everett, just north of Seattle, Washington, is seeking to fill an analyst position in its Long-Term Power Supply Resource Planning and Evaluation Department. These positions perform differing levels of economic and business evaluation/analysis for long-term resource planning and evaluation for the electric utility and other financial analyses. Duties include but are not limited to data analysis and modeling, administering and/or managing utility power and transmission contracts, specific project management, and other analytical support in the day-to-day management of the utility’s long-term resource and transmission portfolio. Successful candidates will be able to use data and information to assess and understand issues, develop and evaluate options, form logical and accurate conclusions and make recommendations. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to prepare clear, concise and comprehensive written materials which require the preparation and presentation of statistical, graphical and other technical information to a variety of audiences. May also be requested to represent the Snohomish PUD on technical and policy-related issues in regional forums, business meetings or before regulatory agencies. Travel to regional meetings and forums is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Utility Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business, engineering, science or related discipline; valid Washington State driver’s license.
Senior Utility Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business, engineering, science or related discipline and minimum of three (3) years performing analytical work; valid Washington State driver’s license.
Principal Utility Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business, engineering, science or related discipline and minimum of five (5) years’ experience in performing power supply planning analytical work or related analytical work; valid Washington State driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of power and transmission resources and/or economic issues related to electric utilities.
