Public Works Department Director
As Public Works Director you will play a key role in Snohomish County's regional transportation
planning, surface water and solid waste management. You will have the opportunity to make a
difference in our growing and thriving community with your strategic planning expertise, innovative
ideas, collaboration skills, leadership ability and extensive knowledge and background in public works
management. This position reports directly to the County Executive Office, and directs/manages the
operations of the department.
Strong communication, leadership skills and a proven record of accomplishments is essential. Ability to
establish and maintain strong partnerships with elected officials, staff, labor unions, citizens,
contractors, and other governmental agencies is required. The ideal candidate has experience managing resources and budgets to reflect departmental priorities.
