Snohomish County Fire Districts 7 is creating an eligibility list for the entry-level Firefighter EMT position. Eligible candidates must complete a FireTEAM test administered by National Testing Network (October 4, 2019 or newer). The last date to complete the FireTeam test is October 4, 2020.
Successful candidates are placed on an eligibility list to be utilized by Snohomish County Fire District 7.
Salary Information: $5,654/month (70% of top Firefighter pay; 2019 pay rate - 2020 pay rate shall be established upon completion of contract negotiations)

Department Overview: On January 1, 2020 Lake Stevens Fire and Snohomish County Fire District 7 merged agencies. Snohomish County Fire District 7 now serves over 162,000 people over 140 square miles and is dedicated to saving lives, protecting property, and taking care of people. We serve the cities of Lake Stevens, Mill Creek, and Monroe along with the unincorporated areas surrounding these communities.
Snohomish County Fire District 7 has approximately 300 employees and responded to more than 17,000 calls last year. We respond from 11 fire stations that are staffed 24 hours per day. We provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) services along with fire suppression, water rescue, fire prevention, inspections, and public education. We are also members of the Snohomish County Hazmat and Technical Rescue teams.

- Prior Experience Required: None
- Required Certifications: Valid State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification at time of conditional offer. See Additional Requirements below.
- Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Completion of an approved Fire Academy. The ability to connect with our diverse communities and communicate directly with them through bilingual or multilingual interactions is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements: WA State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification at time of conditional offer. Valid driver's license at time of application and ability to obtain a WA State driver license by time of hire. Successful candidate must meet the Washington State Retirement health eligibility requirements. Required certifications will be part of the recruitment process. Interested applicants must successfully pass a Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) test during the recruitment process (after the list is established and during the interview process). The employer will cover the cost of one (1) CPAT test.
