Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Washington Schools Risk Management Pool
The Washington Schools Risk Management Pool seeks a Chief Financial Officer whose responsibilities include leading the business and financial services. The incumbent will prepare multiyear projections, provide leadership in the design and implementing of a transparent budget development process, develop financial and operational plans, execute on initiatives and priorities while leveraging more efficient and effective processes, and provide guidance and technical assistance to departments.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in a related field with 12 years exp. (Equivalency: Bachelors degree in a related field and 14 years of progressively responsible experience)
- CPA
Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
- Experience working in insurance in a leadership capacity
- Experience working in “pooling” in a leadership capacity
- Experience working in Actuary or auditing in a leadership capacity
This is a Full-time, year round position, based in Tukwila. Salary: ($127,374 - $147,715)/year. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity. The Washington Schools Risk Management Pool (WSRMP) is a self-funded non-profit risk pool composed solely of 93 public schools, 7 Educational Service Districts, and their inter-local cooperatives. WSRMP exists in partnership with its members to provide staff and student communities a safe and protected educational environment, while protecting member resources.
WSRMP is affiliated with Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) which provides human resource services to WSRMP. PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state.
