Position Title: Universal Banker
Office: Snohomish Office at Fred Meyer
Days/Hours: As assigned
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm | Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Purpose
Provides new and existing customers with high quality service and specializes in assessing customer needs. This individual presents, sells and opens various consumer deposit accounts and services, performs teller transactions with a high regard to detail, anticipates customer needs, and refers product openings in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
Essential Functions
I. Transactions and Inquiries
- Ability to accurately process all checking, savings, loan and CD teller transactions
- Ability to handle most customer inquiries
- Ability to accept and process customer and account level maintenance
- Ability to operate all branch equipment
Regulatory and Procedural Compliance
- Possesses and demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
- Possesses knowledge of robbery and security procedures
- Possesses and demonstrates knowledge of internal policy and procedure and utilize resources (ie. Operations Manual, Compliance Manual, etc.)
III. Product Knowledge and Sales Activities
- Ability to offer high level of customer service
- Possesses product knowledge of all personal and business products/services including all e-banking products/services
- Ability to assess customer needs, make product recommendations, open products/services and/or appropriately refer to other banking partners
- Demonstrates cross selling and referral skills
- Sets and obtains goals
- Obtains proficiency in Client Advisor/Baker Hill
IV. Miscellaneous
- Performs back-up duties for other positions in the branch as needed
- Assists other employees in the office with questions and additional training in the branch
- Possesses a working knowledge of branch cash balancing
- Other duties as assigned
Training Expectation
Successful completion of all Universal Banker training within 90 days from date of hire.

- Knowledge of banking products, policies and procedures

- Proficiency in basic computer skills. Experience with Outlook, Word, & Excel preferred

Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Minimum two year customer service and cash handling experience
- One year banking experience preferred
