Mental Health & Wellness Programs Manager
SUMMARY:
Homage is the largest service provider for older adults and people with disabilities in Snohomish County. Homage has several core programs, including mental health and wellness, home repair, nutrition, social services and transportation. Our mission is to promote independence, preserve dignity, and enhance the quality of life through the services we provide.
With supervision provided by the Health and Wellness Director, the Mental Health and Wellness Program Manager is responsible for daily management and operations of the department. The Program Manager provides supervision to program staff, thus ensuring that programs remain in compliance with contractual and agency requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide regularly scheduled supervision that includes education and guidance on best practices for client support that address social determinant of health needs
- Monitor program compliance with contract requirements and best practice standards
- Participate in planning and conducting staff meetings
- Provide relationship-based education and training for staff, with an emphasis on best practice support for employees as they navigate complex client situations
- Prepare grant applications and renewals in conjunction with Health and Wellness Director and Grant Manager
- Prepare and submit reports in conjunction with Health and Wellness Director
- Assist Health and Wellness Director with the recruitment and training of new staff
- Provide regular evaluation of direct reports per agency standards
- Represent Homage on outside committees and advisory boards
- Consult with mental health service providers and other geriatric health care professionals
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- M.A. in Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, or related field required
- LMHC or LICSW preferred
- Two or more years of experience working with older adults preferred

- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong skills in public speaking
- Empathy and sincere interest in working with older adults and people with disabilities.
- Clinical supervisory skills
- Ability to problem solve and work in stressful situations
- Experience using Office and Outlook
- Ability to maintain a sense of humor and positive attitude
- Valid WA State Driver’s License and reliable transportation
