We are looking for a creative, dynamic individual to lead our Family Services team. Ideal candidates are passionate about serving and supporting low-income families, are skilled in communicating and collaborating with a variety of program departments and outside agencies, and have exceptional leadership skills. The Family Service Manager performs an advanced level of specialized case management that includes overseeing, directing, advising, instructing, supervising, and monitoring the delivery of Head Start & ECEAP parent, family, and community services to enrolled families.
The Family Service Manager directs the work of assigned staff and contributes to employee performance evaluation. This position is also responsible for service quality and compliance with the Head Start and ECEAP Parent, Family and Community Engagement Framework, oversees family service budget, assists in the evaluation and design of program services, and participates in the design, implementation, and evaluation of our staff training program. This is a full time position and reports directly to the Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
55%: Family casework and resources- Work with Family Advocates, Teacher/Family Advocates and other agency departments as the lead case manager on high need/high risk families
- Organize and/or attends multidisciplinary meetings as needed
- Ensure that staff are conducting Family Focus meetings and completing Family Goals
- Ensure that Community Resource books are updated and distributed
- Establish annual calendar for FLED and parent meetings at sites
- Supervise Family Advocates
- Other duties as assigned
- Monitor Family Services compliance and report findings at monthly management meetings
- Use database to develop and run monitoring reports
- Work closely with Program Managers to ensure that all contract compliance regarding Family Service is being met
- Ensure that data is being input properly in Family Service area of database
- Administer various other projects that support program family service compliance
- Monitor staff follow-through with program policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend community meetings and events
- Facilitate and support program wide events such as Orientation, CLC meetings, Kindergarten Readiness

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field
- Three years of task-oriented social work experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field
- More than three years of task-oriented social work experience
- Demonstrated skills in working with families who face a variety of challenges
- Demonstrated abilities to work with socially, culturally, and economically diverse groups of children and adults and commitment to diversity and inclusivity for all clients
- Experience with Head Start and/or ECEAP

COMPENSATION
Salary is $57,950.28 and is based on the Edmonds CC administrative/exempt salary schedule, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 10 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, and 24 vacation leave days per year.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Before Starting Work:- Submit paperwork indicating negative TB Test or clear chest x-ray within one year of hire date
- Show proof of Tdap booster vaccination
- Show proof of MMR (measles) vaccination
- Submit proof of a cleared Portable Background Check from the Washington State Department of Early Learning (NOTE: if you do not have a current PBC, you must first create an account in the DEL's MERIT system by clicking here. The fees for obtaining a PBC are your responsibility. The entire process of obtaining a PBC takes 3-4 weeks. You may not start working until we have a copy of your cleared PBC.)
- Submit proof of US Citizenship or ability to work in US (must show original social security or Alien Registration Card/Work Permit, as well as one piece of picture identification)
- Completion of all pertinent personnel/payroll forms
- Submit official education transcript(s) showing employee meets the educational requirements of the position
- Signed statement by a health provider that the employee is free from communicable diseases and physically able to perform job responsibilities.
- Successfully complete a nine-month probationary period (classified positions only)
- Keep all certifications and clearances in current status
- Complete 15 hours of Professional Development Training each year
