ERSEA Supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Daily supervision and training of two full time ERSEA Assistants to the process and procedures for meeting federal guidelines in the areas of eligibility, enrollment, and child attendance
- Determine eligibility for families applying for Head Start, Early Head Start, and ECEAP and maintain a waitlist of eligible families for each site
- Create and submit monthly enrollment and attendance reports
- Coordinate program representation at community events
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for recruiting families in all of our communities
- Oversee an annual budget for supplies and materials related to recruiting and enrollment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Two years work experience in a same/similar office or administrative position, including one year of experience in a social service environment
- Associates Degree or higher
- Experience managing staff
- Experience in a same/similar position in a Head Start and/or ECEAP program
- Spanish language fluency

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Hiring for this position is on the condition that candidates meet the following requirements:
Before Starting Work:
- Submit paperwork indicating negative TB Test or clear chest x-ray within one year of hire date
- Show proof of Tdap booster vaccination
- Show proof of MMR (measles) vaccination
- Submit proof of a cleared Portable Background Check from the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, & Families
- Submit proof of US Citizenship or ability to work in US (must show original social security or Alien Registration Card/Work Permit, as well as one piece of picture identification)
- Completion of all pertinent personnel/payroll forms
- Signed statement by a health provider that the employee is free from communicable diseases and physically able to perform job responsibilities.
- Successfully complete a nine-month probationary period
- Keep all certifications and clearances in current status
- Complete 15 hours of Professional Development Training each year
Additional Information
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to report to work at scheduled times; position may require some evening or weekend scheduling. Work is performed in an office setting and also in clients' homes. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station and perform detailed tasks involving repetitive arm and hand movements, such as data entry, is essential. Operation of standard office equipment such as a PC/terminal, electronic calculator, copy machine, and multi-line phone system is required. The ability to move over uneven surfaces and exhibit cultural sensitivity with clients is essential. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
WORK SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with occasional evenings/weekends.
COMPENSATION:
Salary range: Beginning salary is $3122- $3511 per month for 40 hours per week, with incremental increases to $4066 per month plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 10 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 2 personal leave days, and 14 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 24 vacation days per year).
