Student Request Coordinator
The George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Student Request Coordinator. The Student Request Coordinator provides primary support to the School of Business Office of Student Success and Academic Services for logging, processing, tracking and notification of all student requests, including substitution/waivers, transfer credit evaluations, international exchange student overrides, non-degree overrides, and academic actions and appeals. This is a full-time classified staff position.

Responsibilities:
The Student Request Coordinator has responsibilities in the following areas:
Student Service:
- Provide professional administrative support to students in pursuing special academic requests;
- Prepare and process these requests from initiation to completion;
- File follow up materials on requests with university offices and student records;
- Establish outreach activities to university offices;
- Prepare necessary documents for all transfer student workshops;
- Manage event planning system for all transfer student workshops;
- Create templates for handling communication regarding denied and approved student requests.
Database Program:
- Create and maintain Salesforce cases of all student requests and contacts to provide accurate reports;
- Assist with creation of online request submission for students;
- Assist with creation and review of data generated reports analyzing statistical trends;
- Manage all student request related Salesforce queues and case management processes;
- Manage the formal School of Business student grievance process and disseminate student complaints to appropriate reviewers.
Office Administration:
- Assist with answering phones and greeting visitors to office;
- Assist with special administrative projects and office events as workload allows;
- Maintain and update the workflow for all student requests.
Team Development:
- Work actively with the Office of Student Success and Academic Services team in planning program operations, establishing goals, evaluating program effectiveness and developing or modifying policies and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency of the office.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
- Professional demeanor;
- Detailed oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently;
- Ability to generate and format data driven reports;
- Considerable knowledge of applicable computer software and database programs including Salesforce, Banner, and Microsoft Office;
- University administration experience.
