Executive Secretary/ Administrative Assistant
The French Slough Flood Control District (FSFCD) encompasses nearly 5,500 acres of largely agricultural land near the city of Snohomish in Snohomish County. The District’s purpose is to protect its service area from flooding on the Snohomish and Pilchuck rivers by a nearly four-mile long levee system. The system includes a pumping station and a floodway channel designed to allow floodwaters to return to the Snohomish River. An elected, three-member Board of Commissioners governs the District. The district’s day-to-day operations are managed by a Board-appointed Operations Manager.
The Executive Secretary role
Responsibilities: record meeting minutes at monthly District Commissioners’ meetings. Maintain a documentation record of all District actions. Maintain financial records, provide financial reports, manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll; and administer the creation of the annual budget. Communicate and work with Snohomish County Treasurer and other County staff in the management of the District’s financial accounts and other records. Support periodic county and state audits.
Flexible schedule, work from home, attend District Commissioners’ meetings in Snohomish (usually once a month on weekday, 6:30-8:30am). Need to be occasionally available, on short notice, in Snohomish to meet with Operations Manager or Commissioners. This is a part-time position, averaging approximately 20 hours per month. Training will be provided.

- Knowledge of FSFCD or similar county district administration is desirable, but not required. Applicant need not be a landowner within the District.
Salary DOE, $22-30/hour.
