Everett Ship Repair is a complete service and repair facility for all types of vessels.
We are strategically located in Everett, Washington and operate one of the four largest drydocks in the Pacific Northwest. In addition, we have 500’ of dockside mooring space for vessel service work.

We are currently looking to fill the following positions:
MACHINERY ASSEMBLER
Machinery Assemblers are responsible for the installation and alignment of major equipment and propulsion systems as well as custom fabrication of machinery components, foundations, and various sub-assemblies in support of other departments. Typical tasks include: installing and aligning major equipment and propulsion systems including main engines, gear boxes, pumps, shafts, jet drives, propellers, rudders, and Z-drive systems; forming, fitting and fabricating structural machinery foundations to blueprints from steel or aluminum including layout and MIG and Arc welding and tacking of components; and building custom components with lathe, milling, drilling, and molding operations.
SHIP FITTER (Multiple Positions)
The Journeyman Ship Fitter will work primarily in fabrication, assembly, subassembly and final erection of all structural components on Marine Vessels, to include but not limited to hulls, superstructures, masts, pilot house, and engine rooms. Typical tasks include forming, fitting and fabricating metal structures to blueprints to build structural elements of marine vessels during all phases of construction and rebuilds; laying out, cutting, forming, preparation, and final assembly of all work assignments; and tacking and performing minor welding with MIG and Arc Welding processes
PIPE FITTER (Multiple Positions)
Marine Pipefitters are responsible for building, testing and commissioning piping systems in marine vessels. Examples of systems are, engine cooling, bilge/ballast, fire main, hydraulic, fresh water, flushing water, sewage, fuel oil supply, fuel oil transfer, and lube oil systems just to name a few. Specific job duties include forming fitting and fabricating metal and nonmetallic piping systems in marine vessels to engineering drawing during all phases rebuilds from spools, installation and through sea trials; layout, cut, preparation, and final assembly of spools, piping systems in modals and final assembly; and testing piping systems for quality assurance, owner representatives and regulatory agencies.
MARINE PAINTER (Multiple Positions)
The Journeyman Marine Painter will work primarily in surface preparation and painting of marine vessels currently under production or as finishing work on major repair projects. Specific responsibilities will include performing abrasive blasting operations for surface preparation of interior and exterior tanks, engine room and interior compartments and other sites as required by each project based upon specifications for each vessel; preparing coating materials by blasting, cleaning, preparing, masking and mixing in various additives such as two or three-part paints for tanks, voids, bilges, passageways, machinery/propulsion spaces, interior bulkheads and exterior surfaces with the proper applications with brushes or rollers, for the paint millage required by written technical direction; and performing needle gunning, hand or mechanical sanding to prepare the surface for final painting:.
STRUCTURAL WELDER (Multiple Positions)
The Production Welder will weld structural portions of marine vessels together. They perform wire feed and stick welding operations on steel and aluminum projects involving vessel repair projects. Specific duties and tasks will include: welding out panels, assemblies, modules, and final build of vessels; welding seams and skip welds, flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead, for fillet, butt-weld, socket, and mitered joints; grinding and prep welding seams for tacking, grinding, and final inspection post weld; setting up arc welder for root passes; welding hangers; setting up and operating MIG welders for water tight and skip weld patterns; laying out skip weld patterns; and performing Air Arc operations to back gouge welds and remove bad welds.
MARINE ELECTRICIAN
The Marine Electrician will install, maintain, repair and replace marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems for large and small vessels. Specific responsibilities include: reading/interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine the layout and installation of electrical equipment; installing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components; outfitting and laying out wire ways and installing cable trays; testing electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance; and perform electrical fitting installations, stud runs, cableways, controller mounts and all mounting hardware involved with marine electrical equipment.
CRANE OPERATOR
The Crane Operator performs various lifts in various shipyard and drydock areas. He or she will operate small and larger cranes and understand their load charts; Position will also require that the Operators directs critical lifts with supervision. Additional responsibilities include completing paperwork on lifts and timekeeping; safely and efficiently operating forklifts; performing various tasks including crane maintenance and conducting rigging inspections.
