Legal Assistant
Legal Assistant - Screening 2/9/22 - Open until filled.
This position may be subject to state or federal standards requiring COVID vaccination or testing.
Provide attorneys with legal support. Accomplished by assisting attorneys in maintaining calendars for lawsuits, researching, organizing, and drafting legal documents, coordinating ordinance case prosecution, and providing a variety of clerical support.
A two-year associate degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school; one year up to three years’ experience, and a typing speed of 45 wpm required. Ability to obtain Notary Public and paralegal certification desired but not required.
A background check will also be performed. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, is considered.
