Central Washington University is seeking to attract qualified candidates for a new Internal Communication Director position.
This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing communication tools that promote a positive workplace culture and inform internal audiences about university wide initiatives, training requirements and opportunities, human resource messaging, and other communications pertinent to the university community.
Among the duties of this position will be to assemble and lead an internal communication taskforce, which will help analyze campus communication needs. Additionally, the new director will work collaboratively within the Department of Public Affairs and with other administrative offices, such as Human Resources, the University Registrar, the University Auditor, and the University Business Office, to analyze and improve current communication practices.
The position will also investigate, develop, and implement the most effective vehicles to reach internal audiences, which can include (but are not limited to): redesigning university webpages, social media, electronic/email newsletters, smartphone applications, and other tools.
