The Prevention/PS Worker provides an important function as “preventer” and “protector” of children at risk, and also functions as a “catalyst” for change in families and the Bay Mills Indian Community. This worker completes a variety of professional assignments to provide services to individuals and families. These services shall include risk assessments, needs assessments, prevention services, parenting skills, protective services, foster care, adoption, juvenile justice, family support, foster home licensing and adult services. Bachelor’s in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Criminal Justice, Paralegal, or field related to social work, required. Must have 1 to 3 years’ experience in case management of children and families. Must have knowledge of the child protection laws, Bay Mills Juvenile Code, and tribal and state child welfare judicial systems. Must successfully pass a criminal background check and must have valid driver’s license with good driving record.
