Why Alderwood Water & Wastewater District?

The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District’s (AWWD) mission is to provide clean, reliable water and wastewater services for a healthy community. As an organization we strive to build and maintain a system that will function for the next 100 years and beyond. We protect the natural environment, conserve water resources, and provide critical services, every day. Spanning 45 square miles in southwest Snohomish County, the District is the largest special purpose water/wastewater District in the State of Washington.

The District adopted a five year strategic plan in 2017 that outlines the following strategies: serve you today, plan for tomorrow, protect our water supply, manage our information and our physical assets, and build a learning organization. Our staff are engaged in updating the tools and methods we use to serve a growing community more efficiently and effectively.

The District offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision plans with full family coverage; group term life insurance, short term and long term disability coverage, State of Washington PERS 401(a) retirement plan participation, a deferred compensation match program, a commute reduction incentive, and a wellness incentive.

The Opportunity: Program Manager (Records/Enterprise Content Management)

Term Limited Temporary Position – 3 years

In this new position (approved by the Board of Commissioners in August 2018) you will lead AWWD’s transition to more automated ways of storing and retrieving records through the implementation of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. With your combined project management skills and knowledge of technical systems, you’ll manage a District-wide effort and work with individual departments and workgroups to advance one of many efforts within the District to incorporate newer technologies into our work.

The District’s Records Management committee has been engaged in the assessment and selection of an ECM vendor during the past year. After a thorough assessment that included input from employees in workgroups throughout the District, the committee selected an ECM vendor, and the District poised to begin the transition to a new record-keeping system.

As the Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the ECM/Records Management project through analysis and implementation. You’ll use your excellent and influential communication skills to facilitate workgroup decision-making on the best practices, while also creating record-keeping standards that are consistent throughout the organization.

This position is a term-limited position for three years (through 2021) and an excellent opportunity for an individual who seeks to gain additional program development experience while utilizing project management and business process analysis skills.

The pay range for this position is $61,284 - $82,128 annually, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
