The Position: Administrative Assistant (Engineering & Development Department)
The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District is accepting applications from qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing the full range of general administrative support duties and/or specialized clerical tasks in support of the Engineering and Development (E&D) Department.
The successful candidate for this position will have at least three years of experience in an office support position and possess a High School Diploma or GED. The position requires impeccable customer service skills, and the incumbent must interact with and provide assistance to co-workers and members of the public with tact and professionalism. The Administrative Assistant (E&D) takes initiative to plan, prioritize and complete assignments in a timely manner and with minimal supervision, while seeking direction and clarification when necessary. This position requires using computer and applicable software applications, including Microsoft Office suite, with speed and accuracy.
Representative duties for this position include establishing and maintaining logs, files, indexes and similar record systems; compiling and editing special reports; composing routine correspondence; checking the work of others for errors and omissions; verifying information to be included in documents of public record; gathering statistical information to be used in reports; reviewing, evaluating and entering data into computers; and creating and updating files.

The pay range for this position is $24.84 - $33.29 per hour ($51,672 - $69,240 annually), dependent upon experience and qualifications.
