Advance Local is looking for a Programmatic Data Analyst to work remotely as a member of our high-performance revenue team. In this high-profile and important role, you will be responsible for analyzing various digital advertising datasets to document and explain current trends and forecast future yield at the intersection of our multi-dimensional advertising, consumer revenue and affiliate revenue business units. We use an evidence-based, analytics-driven approach to revenue analysis, insight generation, and strategic reporting, and the role will support the Revenue Strategy team by providing the organization with actionable data that will inform business optimization and enable collaborative decisioning across disparate and sometimes competing revenue strategies.
In this role, you will:
- Extract information from disparate data sets and identify correlations and patterns
- Organize and transform information into comprehensible structures
- Use data to predict trends in reader behavior relative to revenue yield optimization
- Use tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
- Prepare reporting for key stakeholders across business units
- Participate in collaborative sessions across business units to optimize business strategy
For this position we’re looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related area
- Minimum three years’ experience providing data analytics and visualization support to business leaders to enable decisioning.
- Some knowledge of the advertising tech landscape including survey, data collection, verification, viewability, real-time bidding, behavioral targeting, retargeting, cookie matching, and platforms beyond desktop (mobile, video, social, audio) is preferred but not required.
- Quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to clearly synthesize datasets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme attention to detail
- A consultative and collaborative approach with both internal and external clients
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders across the businesses
- Proficient in MS Office Suite as well as analytics and data visualization tools including relevant relational databases
