Northshore Utility District is a Water and Sewer Special Purpose District located in Kenmore, WA, just northeast of Seattle. We currently have three regular full-time open positions, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
UTILITY WORKER - $4,447 to $5,906 per month with Competitive Benefits Package
Maintains and operates all components of the District’s water distribution and sewage collection systems. An incumbent of this semi-skilled position is expected to gradually learn all facets of the SAOR. Works as a crewmember under routine supervision; receives daily work assignments; performs independent tasks only for routine work assignments or after receiving direction (guidance or instruction is given for new or unfamiliar tasks). Generally provided assistance with more skilled tasks. Responds to routine inquiries or service calls.
UTILITY WORKER-LEAD - $5,448 to $7,298 per month with Competitive Benefits Package
Works under general supervision to lead a work crew in carrying out various programs to maintain and operate all components of the District’s water distribution and sewage collection systems. An incumbent is expected to have advanced journeyman level of operating, diagnostic, and leadership skills for all aspects of SAOR and is proficient in the use of resources to maximize efficiency. Responds to non-routine inquiries and system emergencies. Assists with planning and prioritization. Responsible for job site safety; provides technical advice; and coordinates to work effectively with others to achieve planned objectives.
UTILITY SUPERVISOR - $6,675 to $8,945 per month with Competitive Benefits Package
Leads and supervises one or more work crew(s) to carry out various programs to maintain and operate all components of the District’s water distribution and sewage collection systems. Works under general direction with minimal supervision. Supports established priorities, goals and effectively communicates planning objectives. Emphasis of this position is on planning, organizing, managing, supervising, and prioritizing for maximum efficiency. Reviews work order and develops reports on progress. An incumbent of this position is expected to be highly-skilled in all aspects of SAOR including making estimates of resource needs and allocates them to meet deadlines. Participates and makes recommendations for hiring/firing and conducts performance reviews. Coaches and counsels staff. Provides technical advice; assesses situations and site conditions to make recommendations to superiors and regularly responds to more complicated situations.
