Through YMCA Programs, the Gymnastics Instructor will instruct classes to school age children. This position will encourage physical activity, teach a variety of techniques and encourage all children to have fun while being physically active.
1.Design and conduct a safe and fun gymnastics/tumbling class from opening stretch through cool down.2.Increase athlete’s skill level through developmentally appropriate skill progressions.3.Provide a high energy and positive learning environment for allgymnastics/tumbling classes.4.During class, effectively and positively communicate with children regarding their behavior, skill development, and overall progress.5.Effectively and positively communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress in gymnastics/tumbling.

1.At least 1 year experience in teaching Gymnastics and Tumbling.
2.USA Gymnastics Instructor Membership required
3.Must be willing to complete or show proof of completion of the following courses priorto teaching any gymnastics/tumbling classes:
a.USA Gymnastics U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction Course
b.USA Gymnastics U101: Safety & Risk Management
4.Must be enthusiastic, positive, resourceful, adaptable, patience and creative.
1.Acceptable eyesight and hearing (with or without correction).
2.Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
